The Department of Economics has the same year of inception as the Kanya Mahavidyalaya in 1993. The Department aspires to be a leading centre of Economics by integrating modern and contemporary concepts, skills technology and to attain national and international renown. The program provides earnest mentoring intent to students for inclusive growth which advance beyond the classroom in a wide variety of forums. The Department has a Koutilaya club which convenes copious socioeconomic activities to achieve aforementioned objective.
The Vision of the department of economics is to identify study and explore economic elements, Policy framing, and implementation issues faced by the Indian economy along with the analysis of other economics in the world.
