Bridge Courses

A bridge course for newly admitted students is conducted every year by different Departments before the commencement of the first semester classes. The main objective of the course is to bridge the gap of knowledge between subjects studied at senior secondary level and subjects they would be studying in Graduation. The syllabus for the course is framed in such a way that they get basic knowledge of the subjects that they would be learning in graduation.

A Curriculum is framed separately in each of the subjects, for the particular Bridge Course. During the first week after the commencement of the classes, the bridge course curriculum is delivered to the students in various disciplines. A post bridge course test is conducted after the completions of bridge course syllabus to assess the ability of students. Following bridge courses are initiated from session 2018-19 :

  • Basic of Mathematics for 1st year Commerce Students.
  • Basics of accounting for 1st year Commerce Students.
  • Basics of Computers for 1st BCA Students.

These courses give students the confidence and skills to successfully transition to college and new curriculum. It helps in improving the performance of students in the main course.
