One Day National Seminar on "Emerging Issues in Financial Sector in India"

A one day national seminar on "Emerging Issues in Financial Sector in India" sponsored by DGHE was organized on 15-03-2016. It was inaugurated by Prof Ravinder Vinayak (Chief Guest), Prof Sudesh from KUK (Key Note Speaker), President of the Governing Body Sh. Ved Parkash Dahiya, Principal of the college and other members of the managing committee. After floral welcome and lamp lighting Prof. Vinayak addressed the audience that changes are taking place in every sector at a very fast pace. To anticipate and meet the challenges is the demand of the day. Prof Sudesh spoke on the issue that banks should make every possible effort to ensure that their financial inclusion programme reaches to the rural masses as development of country is possible only through progress of rural India. Resource person Prof Surjeet Boora from KUK dwelt on the problems of NPA in Financial institutions. Dr. Amita Rana from CISKMV, Fathpur Pundri chaired the first technical session and gave some directions that may be useful for the new researcher to improve the quality of their research. Prof Karam Pal From GJU (Chief Guest of the Valedictory Session) highlighted that in actual what are the emerging issues in this sector today. Prof. Vinod Bishnoi from GJU spoke on the corporate governance in banks. The seminar attracted participants from Northern region as well as from the rest of the country. At the closing ceremony president of the college congratulated the principal and the Coordinators of Seminar Dr. Namita, Dr. Parmila, Ms. Meenakshi, Dr. Ramesh and other members of the organising committee.
