One Day National Seminar on 'Emerging trends in Yoga, Physical Education and Sports Sciences'

One ay, DGHE sponsored national seminar on the theme 'Emerging trends in Yoga, Physical Education and Sports Sciences' was organized by Physical Education Department of college. Chief guest, Prof. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of physical Education Department, MDU Rohtak lit the lamp of knowledge in the esteemed presence of Sh. Ved Parkash Dahiya, Chairman of College Management Committee, Sh. Dharampal Rohilla, general secretary of management committee, Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Suresh Boora and other faculty members. Prof. Bhagat Singh stressed on the need of taking a nutritional diet for staying healthy. Key note speaker Prof. Nishan Singh, Head of Physical Education Department Punjabi University Patiala elaborated that by adopting any physical activity. We can keep at bay the diseases to a large extent. Other dignitaries present on the occasion Ms. Meenakshi Pahuja, Assistant Prof. at LSRC, Delhi Dr. Shakuntla Beniwal, Deputy Director of sports, MDU Rohtak, Prof. Monika Verma from Department of Physical Education CDLU Sirsa, Dr. Rajbala Associate Prof. from Hindu College of Education Sonepat spoke on the different aspects related to the theme of the seminar.

In the valedictory session, key note speaker Prof. D.S. Dhull, Director of sports, MDU Rohtak exhorted the delegates that there is tremendous scope of Research for the researcher in this field. In the seminar 152 delegates presented their papers. Mrs. Darshna, Coordinator of the seminar thanked the guests while concluding the seminar.

One Day National Seminar on "Empowering Women to Lead Change"

A One Day National Seminar on "Empowering Women to Lead Change" was organised on 15th Dec. 2015 by Women Cell under the patronage of Director Higher Education Haryana which was inaugurated by an eminent Chief Guest Dr. Kavita Komboj, Civil Judge cum Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Kharkhoda. The topic reveals the crux of seminar which conveys a message "Strength does not come from winning, your struggles, develops your strength and it paves the way to lead for a desirable change". Around 300 Scholars, Academicians, thinkers and research scholars from all over India had deliberated on the various aspects of the topic and the dire necessity for its immediate redressal. College President and other management members also graced the occasion. College principal Dr. (Mrs.) Suresh Boora welcomed the guests and invites. She made aware the delegates and guests that this seminar aims at rekindle and rejuvenate the spirit of hope, courage and oneness amongst women from all walks of life. The opportunity extended by Keynote Speaker, Prof.(Dr.) Sushila from Lady Shri Ram College of Commerce. After tea break Dr. Manjinder, Inst. of Law, KUK presented her views. During this session Dr. Amita from Govt. College, Pundri and Dr. Suman from BPSMV, Khanpur Kalan acted as chairperson. This was followed by 2nd enlightening technical session Ms. Veenu Kakkar through a demonstration emphasized on equality among men and women. Dr. Neelam from Govt College Chandigarh and Dr. Rajesh from BPSMV, Khanpur Kalan played their significant role as chairperson. Evening Session was an interactive session for the delegates where all the queries were satisfied. A play performance was also presented by the members of "Mission Hazare" an NGO on theme "Women Empowerment Need of the Day". It was a learning and informative programme for the society. In valedictory session, Professor Promila Batra was felicitated with guest of honour. She intervened the psyche of society regarding this issue by exhorting delegates to remain committed to excellence in all research pursuits with the help these kind of seminar. Coordinators Dr. Parmila, Dr. Namita, Dr. Seemant and Ms. Shalini did untired efforts to make this seminar a huge success.

A one day national seminar on "Emerging Issues in Financial Sector in India" sponsored by DGHE was organized on 15-03-2016. It was inaugurated by Prof Ravinder Vinayak (Chief Guest), Prof Sudesh from KUK (Key Note Speaker), President of the Governing Body Sh. Ved Parkash Dahiya, Principal of the college and other members of the managing committee. After floral welcome and lamp lighting Prof. Vinayak addressed the audience that changes are taking place in every sector at a very fast pace. To anticipate and meet the challenges is the demand of the day. Prof Sudesh spoke on the issue that banks should make every possible effort to ensure that their financial inclusion programme reaches to the rural masses as development of country is possible only through progress of rural India. Resource person Prof Surjeet Boora from KUK dwelt on the problems of NPA in Financial institutions. Dr. Amita Rana from CISKMV, Fathpur Pundri chaired the first technical session and gave some directions that may be useful for the new researcher to improve the quality of their research. Prof Karam Pal From GJU (Chief Guest of the Valedictory Session) highlighted that in actual what are the emerging issues in this sector today. Prof. Vinod Bishnoi from GJU spoke on the corporate governance in banks. The seminar attracted participants from Northern region as well as from the rest of the country. At the closing ceremony president of the college congratulated the principal and the Coordinators of Seminar Dr. Namita, Dr. Parmila, Ms. Meenakshi, Dr. Ramesh and other members of the organising committee.

One Day National Seminar on "Emerging issues in Commerce"

A one-day National Seminar on "Emerging issues in Commerce" was organised by department of Commerce on 21st Feb 2015. The seminar provided an ideal forum for the interaction of ideas and information among academicians, professionals and practitioners in order to understand the emerging issues in Commerce and selected areas. It served a common platform to discuss the issues, problems and challenges related to Commerce, Economics, IT and management so as to bridge the gap between industry and academia.

The seminar was conducted to bring the delegates, researchers, academicians and other professional working in these areas together from all over the country to interact with each other, share their views and provide guidance to researchers. This seminar aimed to provide a challenging forum and vibrant opportunity for academicians to share their original research findings and practical development experiences on specific new challenges and emerging issues.

To initiate the seminar, Principal of the college Dr. (Mrs) Suresh Boora welcomed the guest and invitees. She appraised the gathering about the progress made by the college and relevance of holding the seminars in the present globalised business environment.

Dr. Parmila, Seminar Coordinator informed the gathering about the need of organising the seminar. She said that the Economic environment is dynamic in nature and has so many changes over the last few decades. Recent trends in the corporate business environment have seen many hurdles to achieve their targets and create business uncertainty among the general public and entrepreneurs. Some of the crucial emerging issues are like inflation, issues related with Foreign Direct Investment, Retail Sector, Financial System, Recent practices in Marketing, Emerging Global Economy, Insurance Sector, lack of efficient and skilled human resources in the marker lead to rethink to solve the issues and bring about innovative solutions in human resource, financial system and marketing.

The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Kavita Chakarvarti, Registrar, BPSMV, Khanpur Kalan, Sonepat. She highlighted the Current burning issues. The Keynote Speaker was Dr. C.S. Sharma, Director, Maharaja Aggrasen Institute of Management Studies, Delhi, also gave his views on the subject in the backdrop of the changing economic situation of the country and explained the necessity of improvements in various existing academic and professional courses to serve the society in a better way. Prof.(Retd.) H.J.Ghosh Roy IMSAR, MDU, Rohtak discussed the need of a thorough redesigning of Commerce education from the secondary education level and the role that should be played by the professional institutes in developing their courses to suit the industry and playing a liaison role between the universities and the industries to bridge the existing gap. The session was ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Namita, Assistant Professor of Commerce, Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Kharkhoda.

The first technical session was chaired by Dr. Shafali Nagpal, Deputy Director, Academic Staff College, BPSMV, Khanpur Kalan, initiated the discussion with the backdrop of international developments taking place in Marketing. She then went on discussing many relevant areas of online marketing that is popularity of e-shopping as well as problems faced by customers while purchasing from online sellers. She also threw light on precautions to be taken by customers while doing e-shopping.

Prof. Dr. Surjeet Boora, Deptt. of Tourism, KUK put stress on Digital Marketing & Indianalisation of Theories & Practices in Commerce Such as manufacturing according to local needs (Indian Business Environment),Globalisation (Think Global & Act local) etc.

Sh. Rajroop Chahal, Associate Professor of Commerce, CRA College, Sonepat focussed on Globalisation, Quality Assurance, Corporate Governance, Women Empowerment and Relationship management.

Mrs. Meenakshi, Assistant Professor of Commerce gave a detailed account of the seminar from the inaugural session and proposed a vote of thanks.

OUTCOME/FINDING OF THE SEMINAR :

The seminar was attended by many prominent scholars and academicians across the country. Over 400 delegates contributed/presented their research work in the seminar to make the event a successful one and achieve its objectives. Many interesting and brain storming discussions were manifested in the seminar.
